Default I had the symptoms of diabetes for one day?

I was thirsty and urinated every hour or so. The next day, the thirst and frequent urination was gone. This happened after a day of intense basketball. Am I fine?

You answered your question with your next to last sentence. You were dehydrated. Before sports and during and on hot days, its, fluids, fluids, fluids, avoid caffeine, as in soda, tea and coffee. Be safe!

its not diabetes, its just you were hot and sweaty from the game, you drank, and peed it out. diabetes doesn't go away after a day, its there for life. so you are fine.
