Default Do you think soft-drinks are a major contribution to the increase of

obesity and diabetes? It amazes me how much sugar is in one can of soda---much more than a box of candy or sometimes even a piece of cake. With Coke and Pepsi being mega-companies it seems to be no wonder that there is so much obesity and diabetes.
BTW, cinnamon and cinnamon suppliments drastically cut sugar cravings. It has helped me, a former candy junkie, a great deal.
Water with a tablespoon of Torani syrup and a squirt of lemon is a delicious a refreshing alternative to sugary drinks.

absolutely. people who drink pop in between meals keep their insulin levels raised as well, which probably increases insulin resistance

With 220-250 calories per can of soda there is no need to ask the question. Water is a good replacement.

Sodas with High Frutose Corn Syrup are the NUMBER ONE cause of obesity today. Not only are they empty calories, fructose is more easily converted to fat than sucrose.
