Default Do diabetics need be be aware of anything when they start an exercise rountine?

I don't check my blood sugar level & it has been fine. I hear peole say they check before exercising but I don't know what they are looking for.Please, tell me what you have learned about exercise for diabetics & what to watch out for. Any added detail is much appreciated.

Well, I never check before going out on an exercise and I never check during, I do check after only if I don't feel well. But they say you are suppose to test before to see if you need to have something before you go and exercise and also during in case it went low while your exercise and after just to make sure, that nothing is wrong.

Exercise lowers blood sugar. That and medication can cause a very low blood sugar, which is shaking, sweating, heart beating fast. Keep granola bars handy.
