Default Diabetes-Is it ok to drink Diet Pepsi/Coke?

I am borderline diabetic so i have to be careful

I know regular pepsi is out but do you know
about Diet Pepsi? Ive been drinking it then heard
its not good for borderline Diebetes. But it has
no sugar or carbs...

can you explain this?

It's ok in moderation, but too much of that artificial sweetener can't be good for anybody.

Well I don't think regular soda or diet is good for anyone, but if you just have a craving Diet would not kill ya. Once in awhile is fine. Just don't overdo like anything else in life- in moderation.

You're right about the sugar and carbs. Really all diet soda is (I believe) is carbonated water, caramel coloring, and artificial flavors. It leaves out all of the bad things like high fructose corn syrup.

I think it should be OK to drink, but then again I could have done some research before answering so wait for a few more answers before you go on a pepsi rampage.

As long as you don't allow it to stimulate your appetite. I have read studies that say diet soda stimulates the appetite causing diabetics to eat high carb food. I think that is ridiculous. It's not the drink or food it's the will power. Mind over matter.
