Hi there, I too have gastroparasis. I can tell you what the suggested diet is, and what works for me.

The idea of the diet is to only eat things that the stomach can process quickly, so that even if the stomach works slower than it should, the results won't be drastic. Anything liquid is fine. The stomach only empties out once it has managed to transform the food inside it into "chyme", a soup like consistency. So you could really eat anything, as long as it is soft and mushy and won't be too much work for the stomach to to break down. The exception to this is fatty foods, which are broken down by a chemical process which takes a long time, even if they are not in solid form. Add to that a slow moving stomach, and you get all your symptoms. Within any group of solids, or within any group of pureed food, the more processed it is when you eat it, the easier time the stomach will have with it. Whole wheat takes a lot of work to break down, as do all fibrous foods. Fiber is usually considered healthy for the intestines, but in this case it is best kept to a minimum. So whole grains should be limited.

Having said that, I have foundd that regardless of what I eat, the more important thing is how much. A heavy stomach has a much harder time churning than a lighter one. I eat pretty much what I want, but in very small amounts. I eat small meals often, and I feel OK.

Now and again I 'overeat' and feel terrible, but I have found Motilium, or Domperidone to be a fantastic drug. It speeds up the movement of the stomach and I feel better in no time. But I hear it is banned in the USA. I am lucky enough not to live there, but I'm not sure if you are!

Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon.
